The Remanufacturing Process
Clean
Our remanufacturing partners run each cartridge through a cleaning process, designed to get the old ink/toner out. This helps to ensure that the refilled cartridge doesn’t have any old bits of ink or toner that have gotten caked on drums or print heads, which means your cartridge prints smoothly and consistently.
Remanufacture
Sometimes a cartridge just needs to be carefully re-filled, while other times there may be circuitry and other parts that need to be replaced to ensure smooth operation. Since even recycling parts uses valuable energy, our partners remanufacture each cartridge to ensure its smooth operation, while keeping the part replacement to a minimum.
Recycle
Did you know that the plastic from used ink & toner cartridges can be turned into park benches, building materials, and many other useful products? Any parts that were replaced, as well as any cartridge housings that were determined to be non-refillable, are recycled in an eco-conscious way.
